Forward Regulatory Plan 2021-2023: Regulations Amending the Licensed Dealers for Controlled Drugs and Narcotics (Veterinary Use) Fees Regulations
Title of Regulatory Initiative
Regulations Amending the Licensed Dealers for Controlled Drugs and Narcotics (Veterinary Use) Fees Regulations
Financial Administration Act
The proposed amendments to the Licenced Dealers for Controlled Drugs and Narcotics (Veterinary Use) Fees Regulations would create consistency in use of terminology, discretionary language, and ambiguity regarding when fees are due for first-year licensees for veterinary drugs.
The proposal addresses issues raised by the Standing Joint Committee for the Scrutiny of Regulations.
Regulatory cooperation efforts (domestic and international)
Potential impacts on Canadians, including businesses
All amendments are administrative in nature, and thus have minimal impact on the regulated industry or the Canadian public.
Canadians will have the opportunity to provide comments on the regulatory proposal during the Canada Gazette, Part I, public comment period, which is expected to take place in fall 2021 and last 30 days.
