2019-2022 RCMP Regulatory Stock Review Plan

On September 1, 2018, the new Cabinet Directive on Regulation (CDR) came into effect. This CDR sets the Government of Canada's regulatory policy framework and supports department and agencies in meeting their regulatory requirements. As per the CDR, departments and agencies are required to regularly review all existing regulations, anticipate their review, and post the information online. The guidance requires that regulations be reviewed for relevancy, instrument choice, effectiveness, flexibility and efficiency.

Purpose

The following plan is intended to take stock of RCMP regulations and identify anticipated updates for the next three fiscal years (2019-2022). A current list of all RCMP-related regulations is available on the RCMP's website.

This Regulatory Stock Review Plan will be reviewed by RCMP Business Lines on an annual basis.
